My wife, Marilyn, may be available for assistance in preparation and directing the rehearsal and for directing the wedding party at the time of the wedding for a small honorarium.  This must be discussed well in advance with her, separately.  Typically her services include a meeting with the bride and/or groom to determine who the participants will be and the development of the "choreography" of the processional, who will seat honored guests, etc.  She would then direct the rehearsal at the site and instruct the groomsmen and ushers as to the proper etiquette for their duties.  On the day of the wedding, she would arrive one hour ahead of the wedding and make sure the groomsmen and groom have their flowers on, instruct the honored guests as to the formal seating arrangements, instruct the musicians as to their cues, and discuss with the photographer when and where photos are to be taken.  She will make a "start the wedding" decision when the guests and participants are in place, and then "step off" the wedding party in proper sequence. 

Remember, someone must be in charge!  Someone must be appointed to make the timing and coordination decisions.  If you do not need Marilyn to direct, you must find someone, perhaps a friend or family member.  If that person, however, does not know how to direct a wedding, or know the etiquet, the chances increase for problems.
