Renaissance Conference Center

Personal Note: We chose the Renaissance Conference Center for our own daughter's reception and it was perfect.  The food was sensational and plentiful, service impeccable, and the ballroom magnificant, with its 30 foot high ceiling, balcony, chandeliers, and great windows.  Our family and friends from many states said it was the most elegant room they had ever been in for a wedding reception.  The bar was beautiful and well-tended.  The foyer was grand.  At first, many of our guests thought the foyer was the reception room.  Then they opened the grand doors to the ballroom, and our guests were startled at the magnificance of the room.  We cannot say enough about this spot!

The Friends (Quaker) Meeting House

This is a lovely chapel in Richmond that is charming and is available for rental.  It is reminiscent of a country chapel in the mountains.  We picked this chapel for our own daughter's wedding and it was just so intimate.  Everyone felt so at ease there.  The acoustics are great, the windows are beautiful, and the church members are helpful.
